Scott Helmer Announces 24 Nights Holiday Performance Marathon Across Nine States

Support YOUR Cause Tour Continues with 24 Consecutive Performances During the Holiday Season
TEMPE, Ariz., Oct. 3, 2012 — American singer-songwriter Scott Helmer today announced 24 Nights, a holiday performance marathon that will take him more than 3,000 miles across nine states for 24 consecutive performances as part of his Support YOUR Cause Tour 2012–2013.
Beginning Nov. 29 in Chandler, Arizona, and concluding on Christmas Day in Minden, Nevada, the tour will include performances in Arizona, California, New Mexico, Texas, Colorado, Kansas, Wyoming, Utah and Nevada.
Created to encourage support for charities and nonprofit organizations during the holiday season, many of the performances will be held in conjunction with local food drives, toy drives and community fundraising efforts. Along the way, Helmer also plans to perform for patients in hospitals and residents of assisted living facilities.
"The holiday season is a magical time for most, but it's also a difficult time of year for many people," said Helmer. "Everyone can do something, whether it's big or small. The point is to raise awareness and encourage more people to get involved in helping others."
Inspired by his own life experiences, Helmer launched the Support YOUR Cause Tour earlier in 2012 to combine live music with community outreach and charitable awareness.
"I know what it's like to hit hard times," Helmer said. "There are going to be times when people need a little help getting back on their feet. There are so many organizations doing important work, and they deserve our support."
Throughout the tour, Helmer performs solo acoustic versions of original songs from his forthcoming debut album, Wake Me When It's Over, while continuing a nationwide schedule of community events and benefit performances.
The 24 Nights holiday performance marathon marks one of the most ambitious stretches of the Support YOUR Cause Tour, bringing live music and charitable outreach to communities throughout the western United States during the holiday season.
