Scott Helmer to Perform at Foster City Arts & Wine Festival During Support YOUR Cause Tour

Singer-Songwriter Brings Nationwide Fundraising Tour to the San Francisco Bay Area for Three Days of Live Music
PHOENIX, May 23, 2012 — Singer-songwriter Scott Helmer will bring his Support YOUR Cause Tour 2012–2013 to the San Francisco Bay Area with performances throughout the Foster City Arts & Wine Festival on June 2 and 3.
Helmer is scheduled to perform on the Meadow Stage at 11 a.m. each day and continue with additional performances throughout the weekend outside the festival's Artist Exhibit. In all, he expects to perform more than 14 hours during the two-day event.
The Foster City Arts & Wine Festival, held at Leo Ryan Park, is one of the Bay Area's signature community events, drawing thousands of visitors each year for live entertainment, artists, food, and family activities.
"This is another great opportunity for me to spread the word about what I'm trying to do," said Helmer. "I just love meeting new people, sharing my music, and supporting worthwhile causes."
The Support YOUR Cause Tour 2012–2013 launched in April and is traveling across the United States to raise awareness for charities and nonprofit organizations through live music performances. The tour combines original songs with acoustic arrangements in communities from coast to coast.
Inspired by his own life experiences, Helmer created the tour to encourage people to support organizations making a difference in their local communities.
"There are going to be times when people need a little help getting back on their feet," Helmer said. "There are so many organizations doing important work, and they deserve our support."
Later this summer, Helmer will release his debut album, Wake Me When It's Over, produced by Henry Hirsch at Waterfront Studios in Hudson, New York. Songs from the upcoming release are featured throughout the tour's live performances.
Following the Foster City Arts & Wine Festival, the Support YOUR Cause Tour 2012–2013 will continue with additional performances across the United States.
