Scott Helmer Releases "Long Way Round"
Singer-songwriter releases his interpretation of the Stereophonics song featured in the acclaimed television series
TEMPE, Ariz., February 27, 2017 — American singer-songwriter Scott Helmer today released his recording of "Long Way Round," a cover of the Stereophonics song originally written by Kelly Jones and Richard Mark Jones for the television series of the same name.
Inspired by the series and its theme song, Helmer recorded his own interpretation as a tribute to a program he admired for its spirit of adventure, travel, and exploration.
The project also reflects Helmer's own passion for riding motorcycles. The single artwork features Helmer alongside his personal 2006 Harley-Davidson Deluxe, photographed by Rich Helmer.
Helmer performed all vocals, background vocals, guitars, bass, drums, and keyboards on the recording, with mixing and mastering completed by Chris Theis.
