Written by Scott Helmer, "Broken" features Helmer performing all lead and background vocals, guitars, bass, drums, percussion and keyboards. The recording showcases a self-contained performance, with every instrument and vocal part recorded by Helmer.
The single was mixed and mastered by Chris Theis, whose longtime collaboration with Helmer has helped shape numerous recordings throughout his catalog. Photography for the release was provided by Rich Helmer.
