Scott Helmer Helps Kostopulos Dream Foundation Raise $8,500 at Benefit Concert

Support Your Cause Tour Performance Benefits Camp Kostopulos and Its Mission to Serve People With Disabilities
TEMPE, Ariz., June 3, 2014 — American singer-songwriter Scott Helmer today helped the Kostopulos Dream Foundation raise more than $8,500 during a benefit concert at Camp Kostopulos in Salt Lake City, Utah, as part of the Support YOUR Cause Tour 2014–2015.
More than 200 people attended the outdoor concert, where Helmer performed a solo-acoustic set featuring original music from "Wake Me When It's Over" along with favorite rock and country songs. The event benefited the Kostopulos Dream Foundation, a nonprofit dedicated to creating opportunities for people with disabilities through recreation, education, and life-enriching experiences.
"Scott played with an energy that was contagious," said Mircea Divricean, Executive Director of the Kostopulos Dream Foundation. "He stayed longer than he needed to, making sure every child received a guitar pick and every fan could have their photo taken."
"The good feelings are all mutual," Helmer said. "Camp Kostopulos is an amazing facility staffed by wonderful people who make a real difference in people's lives. I was honored to support such a worthy cause, and I can't wait to come back."
The benefit concert marked another stop on the Support YOUR Cause Tour, a nationwide initiative using live music to help charitable organizations raise funds and awareness in communities across the United States.
