ROLLA, MO — Independent singer-songwriter, touring musician, and Guinness World Records holder Scott Helmer will take the stage Friday, May 8, 2026 (7:00–9:00 PM) at The Village Wedding and Events for a powerful night of music with a mission benefiting Horses Healing Hearts, a nonprofit organization providing equine-assisted mental health services that help individuals build confidence, heal from trauma, and rediscover hope.

Helmer, now in his 16th consecutive year of touring with purpose, has performed over 1,000 concerts and hundreds of fundraisers nationwide—helping raise more than $3 million for causes he believes in—and has shared the stage with artists including Heart, Eddie Money, 3 Doors Down, Jeff Bridges, Eric Burdon and the Animals, and more.
His high-energy one-man show blends original songs with iconic rock and country favorites—creating a night audiences won’t forget. It’s a fun, inspiring, family-friendly event that welcomes guests of all ages.
In 2008, Helmer was one second away from taking his own life.
That moment changed everything.
“This work matters because I’ve lived it,” said Helmer. “I was one second away from taking my own life. I know what it feels like to lose hope—and I’ve seen what happens when someone begins to believe again. The work that Linda Richards and her team of horses and humans at Horses Healing Hearts are doing is changing lives every single day. We’ve set a goal to raise $25,000 that night—and I hope we absolutely crush that and make an even bigger impact.”
