Equisol Adaptive Horsemanship Hosts Debut Fundraiser in Reno with Live Music by Scott Helmer
Scott Helmer will perform live at Equisol Adaptive Horsemanship’s debut fundraiser in Reno—sharing his music, story, and support for the mission.
An evening of music, connection, and community support for adaptive horsemanship programs
RENO, Nev. — Equisol Adaptive Horsemanship will celebrate its official launch with an invite-only fundraising soirée on Friday, May 16, 2025, at River School Farm in Reno, Nevada. Designed to introduce the organization’s mission to the community, the evening will feature food, drinks, games, a live auction, and two performances by Scott Helmer, an acclaimed singer-songwriter and mission-driven touring artist.
The event takes place at River School Farm, a unique outdoor venue located on the banks of the Truckee River, near the confluence of Hunter Creek. Known for its lush gardens, orchards, and sustainable farming practices, the farm provides a serene, riverside setting perfect for community gatherings, nature walks, and meaningful moments. It’s an ideal backdrop for Equisol’s mission and message to shine.
The outdoor event will welcome up to 100 invited guests and serve as both a celebration and a call to action. Equisol is focused on building deeper community engagement and identifying future supporters to help expand its reach—including plans for a future indoor riding arena to offer year-round services for more fragile populations.
To help support this important mission, Scott Helmer will be donating a brand new Seagull Entourage Autumn Burst acoustic/electric guitar to be auctioned off during the event.
Scott Helmer performs his song “Go Go Go” live on the Seagull guitar he’ll be donating to support Equisol’s May 16 fundraiser in Reno, NV.
The evening’s entertainment will include two 45-minute sets of live music by Scott Helmer, whose personal story and uplifting original songs bring people together in meaningful ways. At the end of his first set, Helmer will perform a song on the brand new Seagull Entourage Autumn Burst acoustic/electric guitar he’s donating—using that powerful moment to share his comeback story and how he turned personal loss into a mission to help others through music.
The same guitar—a stunning Canadian-made instrument known for its rich tone, professional craftsmanship, and Autumn Burst finish—will then be auctioned off live to raise funds for Equisol’s future goals.
Special thanks to Seagull and their parent company, Godin Guitars, for helping make this donation possible.
“The team at Godin and Seagull has stood behind my mission from day one. I’ve played their guitars ever since—not only because they build incredible instruments, but because they believed in me when it mattered most.”
“Equisol’s work is truly meaningful, and I’m honored to be part of their first event. I believe in the healing power of horses and the people behind programs like this.”
Between sets, the event will feature a live auction and a 50/50 raffle drawing, with proceeds benefiting Equisol’s adaptive horsemanship programs. Guests will also receive printed materials at their tables with more information about the organization’s offerings and how to get involved.
This won’t be Helmer’s first time supporting equine-assisted services in Reno. He previously performed at a fundraising event for Horsemanship for Heroes in October 2024, and will return once again for their second annual fundraiser on October 4, 2025. His continued commitment to these organizations reflects a deep belief in the healing power of horses and the people who make these programs possible.
